The Director
The founder of BioFact is Ragnar Rylander, M.D. He graduated from Karolinska Institutet, obtained his M.D. degree in 1968 and worked as the associate director of the Department of Environmental Hygiene at the National Institute of Public Health (Folkhälsoinstitutet) in Stockholm, Sweden 1968-1973.

He served as associated professor at Geneva University 1973-2000 and as full professor of environmental medicine at Gothenburg University, Sweden 1974-2000. He is also visiting professor at the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine in Beijing, China.

His research work covers lung diseases and environmental agents, including tobacco smoke, the effects of environmental noise on man and the influence of minerals on human health. He has organised numerous international symposia and workshops on different aspects of environmental medicine.
